Butterfinger Cake

Here is an easy dessert recipe that I am making for tonight.  I haven’t had this version of what I call a ‘poke-cake’, but I will let you know what we thought about it after dinner.

This is how the cake looked while cooling, before the whip topping

Butterfinger Cake

1 box of yellow or butter cake mix

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

1 jar of caramel topping

1 tub of cool whip/whipped cream

3 Butterfinger bars

Make the cake as directed and right when you take it out of the oven poke holes all around the top.  Mix the caramel topping and the condensed milk together.  Pour the mixture over the cake.  The cake will soak it all in!  Crush the candy bars and sprinkle them on top of the cake.  Spread the whipped topping over the candy pieces once the cake has cooled.  Cover and place in fridge until ready to serve.

  1. Oh my, you will get fat eating that stuff ….looks yummy though. I had snicker salad earlier today.

  2. I am not that big of a Buttefinger bar fan, and I thought it was really good. The cake is saturated in the gooey good stuff, so you definitely don’t need a big piece!
